Our History from Munich to Dallas
REYcomp has always been making products for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). In 1990 Computer Gesellschaft Konstanz (CKG), a subsidiary of Siemens AG, acquired the Wand Division from Recognition Equipment Incorporated (REI). CGK sent Georg Rey to lead the newly formed company named Optowand Incorporated in Las Colinas. On November 14, 1994 Georg seized an opportunity to purchase the company and changed the name to REYcomp Incorporated. Reorganized for efficiency and flexibility, REYcomp relocated to Arlington in 1995. Natural R&D synergy followed due to the nearby Univeristy of Texas campus. The globally diverse customer base led to REYcomp's current location in the Great Southwest Industrial Park in 2005. The new facility allowed for technology upgrades like automated optical and x-ray inspection and a lead free wavesolder was added for Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant products. REYcomp is your solution whether you need a fast project launch or a company with a track record of supporting products with 30 year lifecycles.
